I always watch those programmes; 100 best selling albums or 10 greatest number ones and thought I’d attempt to list my 5 top albums of all time and to make it more relevant, list my 3 favourite shoegazing songs. Jamie asked me what my ‘fantasy gig’ would be as well so here goes. Please send us yours…
Top Five albums
(in no particular order)
JAMC – Psychocandy
Pink Floyd – Dark Side of the Moon
Cocteau Twins – Blue Bell Knoll
The Stone Roses – The Stone Roses
The Smiths – Hatful of Hollow
Honourable mention to Belle and Sebastian. I have all of their albums but could never pick a favourite. Same probably goes for the Beatles and tons of other bands. It’s so difficult!
3 Shoegazing songs

Slowdive – When the Sun Hits
Pale Saints – Language of Flowers
My Dream gig (3 bands I wish I could have seen live but didn’t)

Hey Scott – I’m a Top 100, Top 20, Top music (and movies, and TV) List junkie too – and I just had to respond! LOL I love your choices for Top Albums – like JAMC, The Smiths, and Cocteau Twins – as well as those Slowdive and Ride songs for Top Shoegazer songs (and The Smiths for concert to have seen).
Here are my Top 5 Albums:
Louder Than Bombs / The Smiths (I know, it’s a compilation album – do those count?)
Gala / Lush (oops, another comp album!)
Treasure / Cocteau Twins
Hunting High and Low / a-ha (I’m a sucker for addictive melodies and soaring male vocals)
Dog Man Star / Suede

Wasted Away / Secret Shine (and I did not pick this one just because I’m here on your website)
